• Political Party Delegate Informational Video:  under minimal direction from executive producer, acted as rough cut producer.  Researched and wrote voiceover script for 15 minute informational on “what a delegate is, how to become a delegate, and what to expect,” to be shown at political education workshops; as editor it included extensive use of animated motion of stills (in final cut pro) for b-roll shots; undertaken for American Muslim Alliance – 2012

• San Jose Downtown Association (SJDA) Historical Footage Archive  & 25th Anniversary Video Archive:  for CreaTV San Jose Cable Community Access production for the client SJDA; after initial project was completed by others, called in to clean up archive of SJDA’s historical footage as well as the linked video project;  footage and projects were scattered across 2TB drive from numerous interns digitizing footage from various formats of old tapes at different codecs (over 100 tapes); tracked and organized material into a coherent archive so that drive could be given back to client - 2011

 

• African-American Community Services Agency (AACSA) Promo:  compositing/editing of promo for CreaTV San Jose’s Cable Channel 15 Community Channel; featured children’s’ theatre, dancing, singing, drumming composited against stock background with corresponding graphics (Motion) - 2011

 

• San Jose Downtown Association (SJDA) 25th Anniversary Video:  assistant editor working under direction of the producer/editor called in for tightening, audio cleanup of entire audio mix of voice over and music tracks, and creation of video mosaic wall for 10 minute documentary-style promo video containing mostly historical footage from archives; a CreaTV San Jose Cable Community Access production for the client SJDA to be shown at their anniversary gala event (Final Cut Pro & After Effects) - 2011

• Future Radio 96.9 FM, Norwich, UK:  conducted research project on station’s sustainability and relations to community; led effort in formulating and designing a 30 question interactive online survey sent to 181 local businesses with the purpose of assessing their advertising habits, their views and use of local radio advertising, as well as, their impressions of this community station; included 18 page report that was produced detailing the findings and offering recommendations. – Jan. 2010 – Mar. 2010

 

• Norfolk Education & Action for Development (NEAD), Norfolk, UK:  designed and presented an extensive multimedia and interactive workshop on “Climate Change and the Media” facilitating the workshop to various school groups within Norfolk – Sept. 2009 – Aug. 2010

• A Family Album, Santa Clara County 2009:  rough cut editor of then Santa Clara County Poet Laureate Nils Peterson’s 3-camera in-studio performance; included extensive sub-clipping of b-roll footage; also created show open featured heavily composited background using old historical black & white footage giving a yellow sepia tone alluding to silicon wafers; also included a scroll of contributor poet’s names as part of same background; show close featured credits for each poem time lapsed to real setting sun (After Effects); for broadcast by CreaTV San Jose Cable Community Access (Final Cut Pro & After Effects) - 2009

 

• CA 2009 Special Election PSA:  post-producer and editor for broadcast by CreaTV San Jose Cable Community Access; client was the American Leadership Forum; worked with Executive Producer on concept but was responsible for main direction and decisions; entailed extensive sub-clipping of interviews shot at various polling stations throughout Silicon Valley on the day of the election (also for possible future documentary use); the 1 minute PSA was assembled in After Effects with video boxes and corresponding graphics/election statistics and included animated video montage wall of interviewees speak over each other (Final Cut Pro & After Effects) - 2009

• Our Synthetic Sea:  post-producer and editor for hour-long multi-cam presentation for broadcast by CreaTV San Jose Cable Community Access; involved close interaction and coordination with client (City of San Jose Department of Environmental Services/Algalita Marine Research Foundation); included the integration of 60 graphic slide images; creation of composited/animated show open show open consisting of plastic bottle floating in ocean while plastic grocery bag blew in from the wind with Show Title composited as bag logo; show close featured bobbing plastic bottle with credits; took photos of actual plastic bottle and grocery bag and keyed out background from green screen to animate for this project (Final Cut Pro & After Effects) -2009

• The 2008 Tech Awards, Special Broadcast Program:  for this half-hour KNTV-NBC Bay Area production, logged and digitized b-roll footage (Avid) from various award nominees; research on the background of nominees; transcribed main interviews of nominees/laureates.

 

• KNTV-NBC Bay Area, San Jose, CA:  creative services/on-air promotions department intern; assisted in logging, subclipping & digitizing footage for news and station promos, production assistant for various on-air promotions department shoots for the station (mainly consisting of location shoots for station promos to highlight various news anchors and reporters) specifically the “Bay Area Proud” campaign; music & SFX auditions; edit of station ID promos (Avid); responsible for music & SFX library and the cataloging and reorganization of the promotions archive of over 400 tapes; included design and establishment of a new FileMaker Pro database for logging and tracking tapes - June 2007 – Jan. 2009

• Trama Textiles, Weaving the Life of Guatemala:  post-producer/post-production supervisor/lead editor/on-location audio assistant for a 25-minute documentary style promo video shot on-location in Guatemala in Spanish and Mayan dialect with English subtitles; involved over 30 hours of footage with separate audio;  worked closely with Executive Producer/Director of Production in story arrangement; worked closely with location audio supervisor on testing all equipment and mic placements; client was Trama Textiles, a womens’ collective/association representing over 400 traditional weavers (Final Cut Pro) - 2008

 

• San Francisco Conservation Corps (SFCC) Fundraising Video:  producer supervising 9-member crew and coordinating production of documentary style promo video intended to increase fundraising; worked closely with client in all phases to final output; lead editor and supervised assistant editors; encompassed single & multi-cam location shoots; wrote conceptual treatment for this documentary style promo video with a key goal to showcase multi-faceted activities and highlight 3 corps member’s personal stories; included pre-interviews with a number of staff and corps members (Final Cut Pro) - 2008

 

• Naughty Soap Bubbles:  co-producer, writer, location audio and lighting, and character actor for a 5-part mini-soap drama featured as webisodes; coordination of various location shoots – 2007.

 

• The Freedom Archives, San Francisco, CA:  media archive intern organizing and cataloging material for preservation and distribution from among 8000 hours of audio recordings in a variety of formats from the late 1960s to the mid-1990s;  Research and listening of source recordings and writing of program notes that were entered into a cross-referenced and searchable on-line FileMakerPro database – Spring 2007

 

• Economics of Broadcasting Teaching Assistant:  teaching assistant for San Francisco State University Broadcast Electronic Communications Arts (BECA) course; included research on media industry trends and publications for the development of supplemental student reading materials; assisted with continuity of class activities through the on-line portion of the class and fielding student questions; developed and presented a full-length class lecture on Global Media Economics; included participating in weekly pedagogical seminars – Spring 2007

 

• The Quesada Garden Initiative:  wrote conceptual treatment as a proposal for documentary on local community garden; included pre-interview with main character – 2006

• Grapik Art Productions, San Francisco, CA:  Office Manager for a small independent retail and mail order video production company; interfacing with retail distributors and tape duplicators; customer service, processing orders; shipping and tracking; utilizing a 4000 customer Peachtree Accounting database; monthly financial reports and maintaining production shoot files.  Performed a major reorganization of all file systems, and also the manual reconciliation of all prior monthly financial reports from the previous 2 years - May 1999 - June 2000

 

• KCSF 90.9 Cable FM, City College of San Francisco, CA:  Director of Promotions & Public Affairs for student run radio station; included interfacing with record labels and local venues for cross promotion and the scheduling and production of PSA’s from a variety of campus and off-campus organization; produced an entertainment and campus calendar of events; outreach and coordination to other campus departments; interacted with the local Public Access Cable Channel in regards to maintenance and quality of signal, and was also able to push forward an initiative to have the station listed within the overall cable system’s TV channel program guide – Spring 1995

 

• KCSF 90.9 Cable FM, City College of San Francisco:  weekly news writer/announcer, as well as, weekly program host for 2-hour live show (Chilled to the Bone) showcasing ambient and world music with the second half also featuring interviews; student run radio station airing throughout city – 1994-1995
